Historic Tanks Wall Calendar

Introduction: When Danny posted the most recent review list I was interested to see that we had the unusual opportunity to review a calendar. Almost on a lark, I put my name in the hat for this review. I wasn't too surprised when I got the nod to write this review as I figured not many reviewers would go for a calendar. Last week a fairly large package arrived with this calendar. When I opened this package my first reaction was this is really cool. As I leafed through the each month I was more and more pleased I'd put my name in to review it.

What's in this calendar? The front cover is a color picture of a cut away of a Panther tank, which is covered in more detail in the month of December 2018. The first two pages provide side profiles of the tanks you will see for each month and calendars for the remaining four months of 2017.

After the initial introduction, each month of 2018 is represented by a two page spread featuring a specific tank. The top page is a cut-away picture of a tank with color coded titles for various structural, mobility, armament and instrument, communications and electrical systems. The bottom page includes a monthly calendar with world-wide significant dates highlighted. It also includes a brief historical description of the tank, four profile views and basic technical specifications of the tank represented. The back cover provides a description of the layout for each month.

October 2018

Conclusion:  As I indicated in my introduction, when I opened the package from Danny my first reaction was this is really cool. Being a tank geek I find this calendar a real gem of information. It's now hanging in a place of honor in my portion of our studio and I plan to purchase one for my grandson for his birthday.

Highly Recommended for all armor enthusiasts.

Thanks goes out to Workman Publishing Company., Inc. for this review sample.
