AMPS is now a chapter affiliate of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association

We are happy to announce that AMPS has become an affiliate of the MVPA, the almost 40-year old organization of military vehicle enthusiasts, numbering over 10,000 members. The obvious comingled interests of our club and that of our 1:1 restoration cousins has resulted in our pursuit of chapter status and the very successful recent KCAMPS show at the MVPA National Convention in Topeka, KS. As the KCAMPS guys can attest, expanding our routine to be a part of an MVPA event can be very rewarding. Curious as to how to detail an M60 LMG or an M16 MGMC or an RSO tractor? Want to really know the khaki shade for a musette bag or the shape of an obscure part? Just stroll around and you'll have it all within arms reach.

We encourage our members to check out MVPA events in your localities -- especially with many events held in the summer months. Look over the MVPA website and consider joining the MVPA yourself (AMPS is affiliate number AFF070). http://mvpa.org/.

The MVPA produces two great periodicals, Supply Line and Army Motors which are great resources and David Doyle and Rob Ervin are frequent contributors.
