Article 3. Officers and Controlling Organs

Article 3.b.(current)

Elections will be held for these positions biennially and on a staggered basis. The President and Second Vice Presidents representing areas of the United States of America shall be elected one year and the 1st Vice President, Second Vice Presidents representing other areas of the world, and the Secretary shall be elected in the alternate year. If any of these officers should be unable to serve, the President, on behalf of the Executive Board, will appoint a replacement until the next election for that position is held.

Article 3.b.(proposed)

The Elected Officers are elected to two-year terms on a staggered basis which run from April 1 to March 31. The President, 2VP East, 2VP Central, 2VP Midwest, 2VP West, 2VP International are elected in odd-numbered years while the 1VP, 2VP Canada, 2VP Northwest, 2VP South and Secretary are elected in even-numbered years. If any of these officers should be unable to serve, the President, on behalf of the Executive Board, will appoint a replacement until that position’s term ends.
