Submitting Boresight Articles

Boresight articles are written by modelers for modelers. If you are interested in writing an article for Boresight, or if you feel you're not qualified to write an article, read what Chuck Rothman, Publication Editor, has to say:

Just a reminder that articles that show up each issue in Boresight are not pulled out of thin air. They are submitted by members and modelers just like you. I think you might find the process a little easier than you might think.

The next model you start (or are currently working on) keep a pen handy. As you move from step to step (in whatever order you build in) jot down little notes on the instruction sheet. If, for example, part 25 is a problem in Step 5, simply circle that part number and write a few words about the difficulty. The same goes for parts or sequences that work especially well. If you do this, by the time the kit is finished you have a rather complete set of building notes. Now just put those notes together.

As you can see from out selection of articles, some are much longer than others. We have no maximum or minimum word requirements. Just write the article the way you would like to read it. Submit it via email, on computer disc, typed, or even handwritten (please in something close to readable!).

Even if you do not have a camera and are doing a kit review, don't hold back from preparing an article. Keep your notes on a separate sheet of paper and send the instruction sheet in (or a copy).

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions on articles or submissions, please email me.
