International Convention
With only a handful of rooms remaining early in the week in our room block at the Doubletree Hilton, our room block there is essentially filled, SOLD OUT, following two earlier additions to our block.
The good news is that we’ve secured rooms at another hotel, just 3.6 miles from the venue. The hotel is the Larkspur Landing South Bend, a budget option at just $115 per night plus tax.
Click here to book your room, or call the hotel directly at 574-277-9373 and requesting the AMPS rate.
If for any reason this hotel doesn’t suit your needs, check the usual internet hotel booking sites, there are 70+ hotels in the South Bend area, plenty to choose from!
To pre-register, click the button at the top of this panel. You can also use this button to go directly to your registration record after you pre-register.
As we did last year, if you plan on registering at the show, you will need to enter your model entries into one of the show computers there - we will not be accepting handwritten entry forms. Save yourself time; pre-register.
Please note. We are limiting the number of models a person can enter to 10 this year.
You can now sponsor individual categories and Best Of awards. Please visit the AMPS Sponsor page to see what is still available. You can see all available categories and Best Ofs by clicking here.
Here is a breakdown of the costs:
Please message Frank Froment on Facebook Messenger with your requests or questions. When you send your message, include your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices. Once you are confirmed I will message you back with payment information.

You can view your entry history by clicking on the Society menu, selecting Contests and then clicking on View Your Contest History, or you can simply click this link. You must be logged into the website to view your contest history.
Given the amount of information in the table, it won't display properly on a mobile phone, but should display fine on a tablet, laptop or desktop screen.

AMPS Judging Training is Online
The Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS) is a fantastic and unique organization for armor modelers. It is based on the idea to make every armor modeler better at their skills and reward well-executed modeling work. AMPS provides recognition and constructive comments for every model judged at a show. Each model is judged against a set of AMPS criteria, and no other modelers. To do that, all AMPS members are encouraged to become involved in the judging system in some capacity. Our judging system is peer based, so we need many trained judges to ensure consistency and fairness at our many shows.
Training seminars are held at all International Conventions, and at a many local and regional shows. We have now put the training presentations online so that you can train yourself. Any AMPS member can access this training, and it is encouraged! Whether you are just starting to build armor models, or you have been building armor for a while, reviewing these lessons are bound to help you be a better modeler and increase your understanding of the AMPS judging system.
