I have a friend who is doing vehicles of the French 2nd Armored Division in 1/48th. Recently, while researching the Regiment Blinde de Fusilers-Marins (RBFM), he has found several pictures of the units M 10s with the T48 rubber chevron pattern reversed. I have since found several photos of this unit with the tracks reversed as well. Instead of the "V" pointing down as is usual on this, and in fact most, chevron track it is pointing up. I have not noticed this on other M 10s. Anyone know why this was done, how common was it and are there other M 10s from other units configured this way? I suppose there is nothing to stop the blocks being turned the other way but would seem to negate the traction improvement. Also any M 4s with the tread pattern reversed?
Thanks to all
Marc
