Guideline Publications- Military Modelcraft International- July 2024

While July is quickly winding down to the halfway point of summer, we have plenty to celebrate from the quality issues of MMI coming from Guideline this year. Let's get right to it- with editor David Grummitt commenting on some recent shows- Moson in Hungary and a show at the Saumur Tank Museum in France. News at the Front features new products from Badger 3D, ICM, Miniart, AK Interactive, Panzerwerkdesign, Vargas Scale Models, FC Modeltrend, SC3D, SSR Models, and Gaahleri Airbrushes.

After a single page only of Quartermaster's Stores, we head right into content with an On the Bench article by TJ Haller featuring a write-up on the Magic Factory        M-Shorad Bradley/M2A4 IFV.

Ramón Segarra Guerrero builds up the IBG Models Einheitsdiesel KFz.61 in "Call Headquarters!". The kit is featured on a scratch-built base and really pops with the selected figures.

Alex Clark is up next with his "Small-Scale Stug" featuring Miniart's 1/72 scale StuG III Ausf. G and an excellent whitewash finish.
Armour in Profile is up next with an article on the "Stuart tank in Operation Crusader" by Peter Brown. This one is perfect for those picking up the new Miniart Stuart kits and there are five color profiles by Sławomir Zajączkowski to accompany the text.
"The Roller Warrior" by Jason Bobrowich features the Takom Canadian MBT Leopard C2 Mexas decked out with a Panzer Art conversion set.

Domingo Hernandez builds up the Tamiya A34 Comet in "The Outpost". Once again, Panzer Art conversions take things up a notch...

This month's featured At the Bench modeler is Mirko Bayerl from Sweden. This series is becoming one of my favorites as I enjoy seeing the work of true artists and we get a good sampling of Mirko's work.

A nine-page spread of coverage from the Moson Show follows- written by the editor David Grummitt. This is followed by the last article- "Gamma-Gerät", featuring Vincenzo Lanna's build of the Panzer Concepts gigantic gun. Words and Pictures closes out the issue with reviews of two books by AK Interactive-- one on U.S. Armor in WWII and one on Techniques for Creating Bases and Scenography.

Conclusion

This wraps up another great issue from the folks at Guideline and as always, here is a link to the Guideline Publications website www.guidelinepublications.co.uk and US customers can subscribe to MMI and pay in US dollars at www.guidelinepublicationsusa.com

Highly Recommended for builders at all levels.

Thanks goes out to Guideline Publications for this review sample.
