Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel "Desert Fox"
Introduction
Here we have Takom's new Limited Edition 1/16 scale figure of Erwin Rommel. Most people in this hobby have heard of Erwin Rommel, sometimes referred to as "The Desert Fox". For anyone interested in learning more about him, here are some links to pages I thought had good information:

The model kit box is your standard figure model box that opens at each end. The box dimensions are about 8"x12"x1.25". Inside is a single sprue with all the parts to build the figure and the directions are on the back of the box.
Spue A
The sprue comes in a clear cellophane bag that has a peel to open flap on one end making it easy and quick to open. At first glance I was surprised by the detail of the parts. The closer I looked the more impressed I was. It is 1/16 scale but even at that scale this is a great figure. The detail is sharp in the areas that should be sharp and smooth where they should be smooth. The amount of folds and wrinkles in the fabric is what you would expect from a resin figure.
I like the texture that seems to be molded into the plastic that makes up the fabric. The kit did not come with any decals. Plan on finding some after market decals or painting the badges.
Maybe a little clean up of the visor. This picture is zoomed in quite a bit. With the naked eye I can't see that tiny flash or seam you can see at the end of the visor.
Be aware! We can expect to be painting eyes with this figure. Great mold of his face.
Conclusion
I am really looking forward to building and painting this figure of Erwin Rommel. I'm hoping the pieces fit together nicely and I'm able to remove any seams enough to do the rest of the mold justice. Thank you for the opportunity to review this new Limited Edition 1/16 scale figure.
Highly Recommended for Beginner to Advanced builders.
Thanks goes out to Takom for this review kit.
